Funding

Donation and funding are the lifeblood of any charity. These enable this organization to provide meaningful educational opportunities, ensure the sustainability of their efforts, and make a long-lasting impact on the lives of children and building a brighter future. However, it is important to be transparent with donors and sponsors about how funds are being used, which builds trust and encourages continued support. (See donation policy)

The funds can be allocated in ways that directly benefit the children, improve the quality of education, and ensure the sustainability of the charity. Here are some key areas where donations will be used effectively:

Educational Materials and Resources

  • Purchase textbooks, storybooks, workbooks, and other educational materials.
  • Invest in computers, tablets, internet access, and educational software to enhance learning, especially for underprivileged children who lack access to such resources.
  • Provide children with essentials like notebooks, pencils, backpacks, art supplies, and other materials needed for daily learning.

Teacher Salaries and Training

  • Donations can be used to pay salaries for qualified and passionate educators who can make a difference in the children’s learning experience.
  • Invest in ongoing professional development for teachers, enabling them to improve their teaching skills and stay updated with modern teaching methods.

Extracurricular Programs

  • Create or enhance programs for arts, music, sports, coding, and other extracurricular activities that support holistic development.
  • Offer additional academic support, tutoring, or mentoring for children who may be struggling or need extra help.

Infrastructure and Facilities

  • Upgrade or maintain classrooms, libraries, and learning spaces to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Provide desks, chairs, whiteboards, projectors, and other necessary equipment to create a comfortable learning space.
  • Pay for rent, rates, light, telephone, internet, insurance, etc.

Child Well-Being and Support

  • Provide meals or snacks for children, especially those from low-income families, to ensure they are well-nourished and ready to learn.
  • Offer basic mental health counselling to children in need.
  • Help supply school uniforms or other necessary clothing for children who may not be able to afford them.

Teaching Accommodation & travelling

  • Provide accommodation and travelling expenses for volunteer teachers.
  • Pay for subsistence for volunteers’ teachers.

Community and Parental Engagement

  • Organize training for parents on how to support their children’s learning at home.
  • Use donations to engage the community in educational activities or literacy programs that benefit both children and adults.

Curriculum Development

  • Create special curricula tailored to the needs of the children, such as programs focusing on life skills, financial literacy, or emotional intelligence.

Sustainability and Growth of the Charity

  • Allocate part of the funds for administrative expenses like rent, utilities, and staff salaries to keep the charity running smoothly.
  • Use some donations to invest in future fundraising activities, ensuring the charity’s long-term sustainability.
